Ahhh I started watching Love O2O on Netflix and it is THE CUTEST THING EVER. I'm D Y I N G in slow increments as I watch it.
Normally when I watch things I put them on in the background as I do other things. This is obviously a problem when I'm watching subtitled things since I can't understand what people are saying. I normally wait until characters I don't care about are on screen and then clean or whatever and listen for a musical beat to let me know whether something DRAMATIC is happening.
But this show is so cute and fun that I watch the whole episode without looking away! I'm about 20 episodes in. Highlights:
- WeiWei is such a smart cutie, I love her
- WeiWei and her four roommates are BFFs and adorable together
- Likewise Xiao Nai is a handsome protector and his friends are HILARIOUS together
- All the love for all the groups of friends
- Erxi is cute as a button and I don't understand why people keep calling her homely. Sometimes she can be a bit over the top but she's an exuberant kid
- People are vicious gossips and I love seeing the worst of the gossips put in their place
- This show just leaves me smiling! Every episode!
- The drama is DRAMATIC but the main couple never gets into misunderstandings that threaten their relationship. It actually cracks me up that all this intrigue is going on in regards to Luwei WeiWei and she is utterly oblivious to it, over there in love and happy with Nai
- The video gaming stuff is really cool! It kind of makes me want to play a game, if I wasn't so busy watching this drama
- Every time Nai and WeiWei kiss it is SO AWKWARD. I don't know what direction they're getting lol. Nai's actor looks like he's got some practice but WeiWei's actress is a little bit like a statue. Nevertheless I love it
- Gaung and Erxi's banter is cute but I get the feeling there's going to be a bit of a blow-up there
- Nai being the best boyfriend is canon and awesome
Overall just a feel good drama where there's some misunderstandings but mostly just close friendships and awkward crushes and happiness. Recommend for anyone looking for a happy pick me up with some cool game graphics going on.
